Terms such as "Processing", "Processor", "Data Controller" or "Personal Data" have the meanings ascribed to them under applicable data protection laws.

This privacy notice contains essential information about how Fujirebio, as a data controller, collects and processes your personal data, including for what purposes, for how long and what your rights as a data subject are.

3. Processing of personal data

By completing the contact form on the website, you consent to Fujirebio processing your salutation, first name, last name, email address, country and your inquiry or message. You can also choose to complete the optional fields of the contact form which contain phone number, organization / company, company type and function / job title.

If you contact us directly (by email, phone or letter), we will process your contact information and the content of this correspondence. We only use this information to adequately handle your question or message.

External communications

When sending out external communications, Fujirebio processes your name, first name, email address and company. Fujirebio collects this personal data based on your consent and for the purpose of sending you relevant information and keeping you informed about our latest developments at Fujirebio. Legitimate interest can also be used as a legal basis if the conditions of the applicable legislation are met.

If we obtained your consent, we will process your information until you withdraw your consent. If we rely on legitimite interest as legal basis, we will process your information until you exercise your right to object.

Sales and marketing

Fujirebio may use your name and contact information for direct marketing campaigns to inform you about promotions related to the products and services Fujirebio provides, and to contact potential future customers. We may also use the data to make targeted offers. We will send these communications or place the advertisements based on Fujirebio’s legitimate interest if we perceive that you are interested in, or could benefit from, our services or products.

Market research, customer satisfaction and quality assurance surveys

Based on the legitimate interest of Fujirebio, we may use your contact information and feedback information to assess, evaluate and improve the services offered. 

For this purpose, we may send questionnaires or customer surveys, or ask you to complete our customer feedback form. We only keep this information for as long as it is necessary in light of the purpose for which it was collected.

Social media plug-ins

The Fujirebio website integrate plug-ins from social media channels such as LinkedIn, Twitter and Youtube. 

From the moment you visit our website, these social plug-ins send information to the external platform about your device, which pages you visit and how you use our services. The plug-ins are processed regardless of whether you have an account. It is the responsibility of the social media provider to implement an adequate retention period.


In the context of events, we collect and use your salutation, first name, last name, e-mail address, phone number, company / organization and general message to allow you to book a meeting with us when we are participating in an event. 

We will only keep this data for as long as it is necessary in light of the purpose for which it was collected (e.g., organizing the event, post-event communication, sending information about future events, etc).


Fujirebio processes applicants' CV, first name, last name, e-mail address and general message (motivation) as part of recruitment procedures. We strongly encourage you not to include sensitive personal data in your motivation or CV when applying for a job with Fujirebio. This data will be processed based on our legitimate interest.

We intend to store your CV and personal data for a maximum period of 3 years in light of future vacancies. Your personal data are only accessible for the members of the Recruitment and Selection team and will not be shared with third parties.

Optimizing the website Based on our legitimate interest to optimize our website, Fujirebio may analyze your behavior on the website (e.g. clicks, time spent on the website, browser type, etc.). If consent is required for this activity, we will ask for it before starting this activity. Retention periods depend on which cookie is being used. Management of relationships with suppliers and customers To manage our relationships with customers and suppliers, Fujirebio processes name, first name, email address, phone number, bank account number, deposits, direct debit and VAT numbers. We process these personal data in order to execute or conclude a contract. These data are kept for 10 years after the next year end after the last assignment.
Management of accounts

We can collect the following Personal Data on the basis of our legitimate interest when you register for an account on the Website through one of our online forms.

Basic eServices Accounts: first name, last name, e-mail address, organization / company, country.

Premium Accounts: first name, last name, e-mail address, organization / company, country, job title, preferred phone number, fields of interest, company type, laboratory focus, biomarker interest, address, city, zip code, state / region.

When you de-activate your account, your Personal Data can be retained up until 30 years. If you wish to object to this or exercise your right to erasure, please follow the instructions in the section below “6. Your rights”.


Fujirebio will not request personal health care information from you via our Website. If you provide us with personal health care information in a request or any other communications, you understand that you are doing so on a voluntary basis and at your own risk.

4. With whom will your Personal Data be shared?

Your personal data may be shared in the following cases:

  • Between the different branches of Fujirebio (employees or agents of Fujirebio’s affiliates, subsidiaries or group companies worldwide), in case this transfer is required for the provision of our products or services in accordance with the predetermined purpose;
  • Personal data may be shared with external service providers to which Fujirebio has outsourced certain processing activities. In any case, they are limited to processing your personal data in accordance with our instructions and, if necessary, a processing agreement will be concluded so that they are obliged to comply with all obligations required by applicable data protection laws;
  • Personal data may be shared with purchasers, or potential purchasers, of all or part of Fujirebio’s business (and their professional advisors);
  • If required by applicable laws or regulations.

Personal Data provided by you or collected from you online will never be shared with third parties for their own marketing use.

When your data is transferred outside the European Economic Area to a third country that does not benefit from an adequacy decision by the European Commission, we guarantee that we will implement appropriate safeguards to secure this international transfer, such as entering into Standard Contractual Clauses with the contracting party in the third country in question. Fujirebio also examines for each international transfer whether additional technical, organizational or contractual safeguards must be implemented in addition to the Standard Contractual Clauses in order to achieve an adequate level of data protection.

5. For how long will your data be retained?

Fujirebio retains your personal data for no longer than is strictly necessary for the fulfillment of the purposes for which we have collected the data, for example for the performance of a contract or to comply with a legal obligation. Retention periods differ with respect to the type of processing activity and the purpose for which the personal data was collected.

For example, personal data may be kept longer if there is a legal or regulatory reason to do so, or shorter if the data subject objects to the processing of his/her personal data and if there is no longer a legitimate reason for us to keep them.

We guarantee that we will only provide limited access to archived data and that we will delete or anonymize your personal data when the retention period has expired.

Right to data portability

You have the right to receive personal data concerning you, processed by Fujirebio, in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and/or to transfer such data to another controller.

If handling your request requires unreasonable measures (e.g. it is technically or organizationally virtually impossible or extremely costly), Fujirebio may charge you a reasonable fee in light of the administrative costs involved in handling the request. We may also refuse to process requests that are excessive, in particular due to their repetitive nature.

7. Security

We have implemented technical and organizational security measures to prevent the destruction, loss, forgery, alteration, unauthorized access or disclosure of your personal data to third parties and any other unauthorized processing of such data.
We have made every effort to ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the information systems and services in which personal data are processed. All our employees and third parties engaged by us are obliged to respect the privacy and security of your data.
