Thrombosis biomarkers, D-Dimer
D-Dimer is a fibrin degradation product, a small protein fragment present in the blood after a blood clot is degraded by fibrinolysis. D-dimer concentration may be determined in a test to help diagnose thrombosis.
The 8D3 and 15C5 monoclonal antibodies can be used for the development of (immuno) assays for specific determination of D-Dimer.
